HOST FAMILIES

For the 2010 Rochester Thunder season, the will be needing approximately twelve host families to house out of state players.

Hosting a player can result in a great experience for both the host family and player. The host family has the opportunity to see their player compete at each home game and view a high level of soccer competition and skill.

Each host family will receive a Rochester Thunder packet that includes season tickets to all home games and free merchandise as a thank you for hosting a player.

The host family may provide for meals, but the Thunder organization is responsible to cover this for players. The Thunder player just needs a bed, an area to keep his belongings, and bathroom to use. Anything else that the host family is willing to let their Thunder player use is based on the discretion of each host family.

Each soccer player has signed a code of conduct agreement once they have committed to play for the Rochester Thunder soccer team and is expected to follow the agreement entirely. If at any time there is violation of the code of conduct by the player, or a serious situation arises between player and host family, the Thunder player will be immediately removed from the host families home.

The Rochester Thunder soccer organization desires that this experience between host family and player be a positive and respectful one.

If you want to be a host family, please contact me by e-mail as soon as possible. Tryouts are March 20-21 and the coaching staff will make their team selection soon after tryouts are finished. Practice for the team begins in April and the first game is May 7 in Colorado. The deadline to request to be a host family is the end of April so act quickly.
